探索项目Start with what you will do in Spain
Whether you intend to work is a useful first distinction. Living from existing resources, continuing an overseas job and accepting a Spanish job offer point to different questions. Compare the basis of each route before comparing its financial reference.
- Established overseas remote work: explore the Digital Nomad route, including employer or client evidence and Social Security.
- Residence without work: examine the Non-Lucrative route, resources and insurance.
- A Spanish employment offer: compare the ordinary employee route with the EU Blue Card where a highly qualified role is relevant.
Compare the whole household and work arrangement
A savings balance does not settle permission to work. Likewise, a foreign payroll does not by itself settle Spanish Social Security obligations. Describe the activity you will actually perform, who pays you, where the business is based and which relatives intend to accompany you.
If your business or freelance work is still a plan, investigate the appropriate self-employment or entrepreneur framework rather than assuming that future clients establish a Digital Nomad application. Our guide to moving without a Spanish job offer helps organize these starting points.
Read around the decision you face
- Digital Nomad vs Non-Lucrative residence.
- Employee work visa: employer, contract and documents.
- Non-Lucrative household financial requirements.
FYPAS’s published catalogue is selective. Family rights, EU nationality, study and other circumstances may open questions outside these cards. For an application, confirm the category and current procedure with Spain’s Ministry of Inclusion or the competent consular post.
